TORONTO, ON (September 8, 2021) – Nieuport Aviation is pleased to welcome travellers back to the passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA) as airline partners resume scheduled passenger flights from YTZ.
A safe, comfortable and successful return to passenger air travel from Toronto City Airport is Nieuport’s number one priority. Through the course of the pandemic Nieuport has worked closely with PortsToronto, local health authorities, Transport Canada and our airline partners to ensure passengers, staff and partners can pass through the terminal safely and with confidence.
“At Nieuport, our top priority is to provide a safe, comfortable and positive passenger experience for all travellers moving to and from Toronto’s downtown core. We are proud to welcome passengers, staff and partners back to the terminal and look forward to working together with our partners and stakeholders to support a robust return to domestic and international air travel as a key part of our city and region’s economic recovery.” – Neil Pakey, CEO of Nieuport Aviation

Nieuport is also pleased to resume its convenient and complimentary shuttle bus services for passengers, operating daily between the airport and downtown Toronto. These shuttles will be operating at a reduced passenger capacity to help maintain physical distancing.
Thanks to these measures, YTZ has been certified safe for travel as part of the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation program (AHA), ensuring passengers can feel confident about returning to the airport and travelling once again.
These measures are just some of the recent investments made by Nieuport to ensure an exceptional passenger experience at Toronto City Airport. This includes more than $50 million in enhancements to the passenger terminal Airport since 2015, including over 12,000 square feet in newly designed lounges with modern and contemporary décor, new comfortable seating to suit a variety of personal and group travel needs, and new and improved on-the-go working options for business travellers.
Nieuport will continue to invest in additional upgrades to enhance the passenger experience for travellers at YTZ, including plans to introduce a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Pre-Clearance facility for transborder travellers in the near future, with more exciting upgrades to be announced soon.
So sit back, relax and let Nieuport re-introduce you to the exceptional, convenient and accessible travel experience you’ve been missing for so long. We can’t wait to welcome you back.
Update: As of Thursday, January 20, 2022, Nieuport is delighted to announce it has also been awarded the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario #SafeTravels Stamp. The Safe Travels Stamp is an international symbol designed to allow travelers to recognize governments and companies around the world, which have adopted health and hygiene, standardized protocols – so consumers can experience ‘Safe Travels’.
“Congratulations to Nieuport Aviation on obtaining your Safe Travels Stamp.
