Daily Bread Volunteer Day

Nieuport Aviation continues to support food banks throughout the local community with a company sponsored volunteer day at the Daily Bread Food Bank. On Monday, September 30th, 8 members of the Nieuport team volunteered their time to make a positive impact in the community. The team helped sort and pack over 9000lb of non-perishable food donations that will help feed hundreds of families and those in need.

Nieuport Aviation also provided Daily Bread with a $5,000 donation in support of their ongoing efforts to eliminate food insecurity and advocate solutions to end poverty.  In addition to supporting Daily Bread, Nieuport Aviation has supported numerous organizations this year including Sistering, Fred Victor and the Waterfront Neighborhood Center with food donations, and continues to support the local community.

About Daily Bread

Founded in 1983, Daily Bread has grown to become one of the largest food banks in Canada. Their 108,000 square foot distribution hub allows them to receive, sort, pack and distribute food to over 175 food programs across Toronto with a large fleet of delivery trucks. Daily Bread has also started a fresh produce rescue program in which thousands of pounds of “perfectly imperfect” produce from area farms are salvaged and redistributed to food banks throughout the city.
