Elevating the Passenger Experience

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is consistently recognized as one of the best airports in North America, and represents critical infrastructure for the city of Toronto and surrounding region.  Nieuport Aviation Infrastructure Partners, owner and operator of the passenger terminal, is pleased to be diversifying and further improving the terminal’s services and amenities in an upgrade of the facility.

This project is underpinned by passenger research, which showed that Billy Bishop Airport’s passengers are passionate about the airport and greatly value their travel experience.  Our upgrade includes making the passenger lounges more spacious and comfortable, and reconfiguring the terminal to accommodate the anticipated new U.S. preclearance facility and related processing requirements.  One more gate will be added to the terminal, bringing the total to 11, to enhance operational flexibility during periods of heavy demand, such as when major weather storms occur.  Based on our passenger research, new retail, food and beverage amenities will be introduced to the terminal to further elevate the airport’s overall value proposition for travellers.

The upgrade is underway and will be completed in 2018, helping the terminal to better accommodate the 2.7 million travellers who fly through Billy Bishop Airport each year.
